WALDORF, Md. – An explosion in a garage on Starling Drive near Shearwater Drive in Waldorf, Maryland, resulted in a man sustaining severe injuries on the afternoon of June 7, 2024. The incident, which occurred around 2:42 p.m., prompted a passerby to contact emergency services after witnessing the explosion and noticing a man in distress within the garage.

   Upon their arrival at the scene, fire, hazmat teams, and rescue personnel discovered a 55-year-old man with significant facial injuries, attributed to an explosion involving a 55-gallon barrel of diesel fuel.
