Milwaukee, Wisconsin – A 14-year-old boy tragically lost his life after a shooting near 21st and Concordia in Milwaukee. The victim’s mother, Kamid Everett, shared heartbreaking details with authorities about the incident.

Everett described her son, Bryant Triplett, as a family-oriented teenager who enjoyed spending time at home and playing video games. Bryant’s untimely death has left his loved ones devastated, as he was just 14 years old at the time of the shooting.

According to Everett, Bryant was shot by another teenager who had access to a gun. The incident took place at a friend’s house, where the fatal shot was fired, leading to Bryant’s death. Milwaukee police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting that occurred on December 28.

Following the tragic event, officers were seen in the neighborhood piecing together the case, leading to the arrest of the 18-year-old suspected shooter. Despite knowing the suspect since he was seven years old, Everett expressed her belief that the shooting was not intentional, but emphasized the importance of gun safety.

Unfortunately, Bryant’s death is not an isolated incident, as Milwaukee has witnessed a series of violent crimes involving young people in recent weeks. The city saw two teenagers fatally shot on Christmas Day, with another six-year-old wounded in a separate incident.

As the community mourns Bryant’s untimely passing, Everett is urging for greater caution and responsibility when it comes to handling firearms. She emphasized the need for gun safety measures to prevent further loss of innocent lives due to gun violence.

While data suggests a decrease in homicides compared to previous years, prosecutors are expected to review Bryant’s case for potential charges, shedding light on the ongoing efforts to address gun-related crimes in Milwaukee. As the city grapples with the tragic loss of young lives, the call for stricter gun regulations and prevention strategies grows louder in the community.
