The shooting took place near a food truck in the vicinity of Northwest 30th Street and 27th Avenue, where 27-year-old Jeankerly Maria Linares Marin, another man, and a woman were struck by gunfire following a dispute. Linares Marin was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was rushed to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center but succumbed to his injuries. The woman managed to escape unharmed.
Law enforcement responded to the scene, with officers placing a yellow tarp over Linares Marin’s body as they gathered evidence and searched for clues. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office reported that they did not have a description of the shooter at the time but were able to track the suspect to an Extended Stay America location in West Miami-Dade the following day.
